Tamika Price — Built to Build.
I didn't come to business systems through a design school or a tech bootcamp. I came through watching my mother — Ernestine Price — run Tina's Place in the 1990s. An accounting graduate turned bold entrepreneur, she built a vendor business rooted in culture, community, and what she called a "legacy for life." She was talking about generational wealth before it was a hashtag.
My father, James Price — Army veteran, and the first African American warehouse facilities manager at Brunschwig & Fils — showed me what it means to lead with integrity, break barriers through sheer competence, and build trusted relationships in rooms that weren't designed for you. He didn't just manage a facility. He ran a system.
As their eldest child, I absorbed all of it. The work ethic, the operational thinking, the belief that excellence in the details is what separates a business from a legacy.

I founded Price Family Legacy, LLC — operating as Legacy Solutions — to continue what my parents started. We grew into a government-contracting cleaning and facilities maintenance company. Certified MBE. Certified minority-owned. Real contracts. Real operations. Real accountability.
Running that company taught me something that no course can: a service business lives or dies by its systems. Scheduling, intake, client tracking, invoicing, documentation — every one of those gaps costs you money, time, and trust when they're held together with spreadsheets and memory.
So I built the infrastructure to fix it — first for my own business, then for others. That work evolved into Legacy Systems Build: a practice built on the same operational discipline that my parents modeled, applied to the systems challenges every service business faces.
